Hey,
so this is kinda like a 4-minute read.
Conventionally, this should be formal, concise, and brief, yea? But then we're not trying to sound stiff or robotic, I mean, you've read enough GPT-written literature. So, I'd try as much to write this in a language that most of us can resonate with, and yes, there'd be no cuss words or derogatory remarks. xlve is about building a new kind of platform, and I want to bring everybody on the same page.
So, if you want to dig into stuff like why we are, where we messed up, where we were geniuses, and what’s next, then read on.
Else, TLDR:
home ↗Farza said, and I couldn't agree more, "As founders, our job isn’t to be more likable, it isn’t to pretend like everything is okay or to be fine with average — it’s to solve the problems we set out to solve at the highest level possible." And at xlve, we believe the biggest problems have the simplest, most effective solutions.
I started this initiative at 15. I’m about 17 now. A lot has changed. The days are challenging, my hair is going grey — okay, maybe not that last part — but things are turning real, moving fast, and I’ve never been more excited.
In 2021, we—Daniel and I—embarked on our journey into the creative world through graphic design and freelancing. This initial step laid the groundwork for what would soon follow. By 2022, we pushed our ambitions further, establishing a film studio and company that captured moments at various events, including a high school fashion show. This venture was more than just filming; it was about understanding the essence of storytelling—branding, emotion, and the narrative behind every frame.
2023 marked a pivotal shift when we made the bold decision to pivot from film to a broader vision—giving rise to xlve. Our mission was clear: to create a platform where people could pursue their passions, challenge the status quo, and solve meaningful problems regardless of their background or resources. We believed that when individuals follow what they love and do it with excellence, they not only find personal fulfillment but contribute to the greater good of society.
By late 2023, xlve began to gain traction. Life naturally pulled us in different directions—college, personal projects, and job commitments—but rather than stalling our progress, these challenges strengthened our resolve. We rebranded and restructured, returning with renewed energy and a stronger purpose. We envisioned xlve as more than just a workspace; it became a dynamic community where creative minds, innovators, and problem-solvers converge—a real-world “Hogwarts” for those who dare to disrupt conventions and craft impactful solutions.
The turning point came when we pitched xlve to some of the brightest minds in tech, design, and creative arts. The response was immediate and validating: xlve was not just seen as a project incubator, but as a vibrant community where collaboration transforms ideas into reality. This unique blend of tech and creativity was what set us apart. Our objective extends beyond project-building; it’s about reshaping the way people think, solve, and contribute to the world.
Our community isn't just about creating products; it's about building things that can change the world, whether that’s through innovative tech, creative solutions, or transformative research. We aim to redefine how problems are approached and solved. We're here to serve the people in the middle, those who see problems but haven't had a platform to xolve them...until now.
The impact of xlve is hard to summarize in a few words. Every individual who joins brings their unique perspective, betting on themselves and contributing to our collective mission—to rethink and solve real-world problems. Although we are still growing, the stories of our contributors and the milestones we’ve achieved already paint a picture of resilience, vision, and meaningful change. At xlve, we are not just creating products; we are nurturing ideas that have the power to redefine the future and amplify the voices of the unrecognized problem-solvers among us.
Beyond addressing global challenges, xlve aspires to be a platform for Black communities, people of color, and visionaries worldwide who want to give back. By offering a space where individuals from the diaspora can collaborate and invest in real-world projects, xlve serves as a powerful bridge between them and their home countries. Our vision is to build a nexus where people who have emigrated can return to invest or collaborate with their fellow citizens to address issues in education, healthcare, tech adoption, and more. Through xlve, they can fulfill their promise to "give back" in a tangible and impactful way.
Thank you for being part of our journey so far. We’re excited to see where this goes, and we’re glad you’re here with us. If you have any questions or want to contribute, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best,
Victor Adewal, Co-founder xlve.
